The BAU Hire Process
Hiring equipment should be straightforward. Our process is structured, clear and built around keeping your project moving.
From first enquiry through to collection, BAU Plant Hire focuses on practical support, direct communication and clear confirmation at each stage — so you know what is happening, when equipment is arriving and what has been agreed before work begins.
Our hire process is structured, clear and built around keeping your project moving. From enquiry to collection, we confirm the key details at each stage so expectations stay aligned.
How it works
Enquiry
Tell us what equipment you need, when you need it and where the work is taking place. You can browse our available equipment and send through the site details, expected duration and any access or attachment requirements.
We review the job scope and confirm whether the machine is suitable for the work, including any special requirements raised at the enquiry stage.
Availability, rates and terms
We confirm machine availability, proposed delivery timing, transport arrangements and hire rates clearly upfront, including delivery to your service area.
You also receive confirmation of the relevant hire terms so the commercial side is understood before dispatch is locked in.
Booking and payment
Once approved, we secure the booking and confirm payment terms. Acceptance of terms and conditions forms part of the booking process so expectations are aligned before the hire begins.
This step keeps things clear early and helps avoid delays, confusion or last-minute changes once equipment is scheduled.
Delivery
Equipment arrives ready for work — clean, maintained and prepared for dispatch. We confirm site access details and coordinate delivery timing so the machine turns up when expected.
Clear communication continues through delivery so you can focus on the job rather than chasing updates.
Ongoing support
Projects change. Durations extend. Requirements evolve. We stay responsive throughout the hire and adjust where needed to help keep momentum on site.
That may include extending a booking, coordinating additional equipment or refining timing as project conditions change.
Collection and close
When the job is done, we arrange prompt collection and finalise the hire smoothly. The aim is the same as every other step — clear communication, practical coordination and no unnecessary complications.
That’s the BAU way.
